Consultation
What you want, and what your hair will do.
Four services, all beginning with a consultation and a straight answer.
A cut should still look right six weeks later and be manageable on a weekday morning. We talk through your hair's texture and growth, how long you'll realistically spend on it, and then cut for that rather than for the photograph.
What you want, and what your hair will do.
Shaped for your texture and growth.
Styled and explained.
How to get the same result at home.
Hair history, condition and the realistic result.
At least 48 hours before the appointment.
Applied and processed with checks throughout.
Adjusted to the result in front of us.
Colour depends on what's already in the hair, which is why a consultation and sometimes a strand test come first. A skin allergy test is required before colour services in line with manufacturers' instructions — at least 48 hours before, and we can't skip it.
Hair in poor condition takes colour unevenly and breaks, so sometimes the right advice is treatment first and colour next time. We'll say that rather than take the booking, because the alternative is a result neither of us is happy with.
Condition, porosity and damage.
What to do now, and what to wait for.
Applied in salon.
What actually helps between visits.
The occasion, the look and the timings.
In advance, adjusted together.
A timetable for the day.
In salon or on location by arrangement.
Occasion hair is planned around the dress, the day's timings and how long the style needs to last. We do a trial first — the morning of a wedding is the wrong moment to discover an idea doesn't suit — and build a timetable for the day.
